Steps to get a Florida

Real Estate License

You MUST be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

1.  Complete the 63 hour sales associate course and pass the end of course exam (100 multiple choice questions) with a passing score of 70%.  The course is a 60 hour class with a three hour exam.  A student can ONLY miss up to 8 classroom hours.

2.  A state application must be filled out and sent into the state.  This can be done at anytime; before, during, or after attending the course.

3.  Once the student has been approved by the state the student can then take the state exam.  Electronic fingerprints will be taken at this time. This exam is a 100 multiple choice questions and the student needs a score of 75% to pass.  The state exam is given by Promissor ASI Systems.

4.  After all these steps have been completed the student will have 18 months to 2 years (before the renewal cycle) to complete 45 hour post licensing course for the sales associate.

5.  14 hour continuing education will be required every 2 years after the 45 hour post licensing has been completed.  This course can be taken through correspondance (w/test) or in class (w/out test).
